I had a large Graphic Novel Collection. I included both American and Manga. I did place a GN on the spine. I included the 741.5 number and the author letters. I placed it on the shelf in alphabetical by title or title/subject. Ex. All books about Spiderman went under Spiderman no matter the title. In addition I placed a three letter code on the spine to help volunteers, students etc. place them on the shelf. The spiderman books had the letters SPI on the spine. This really helped to shelve them and keep them organized.
