Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!,

Our 7/8 students are allowed to come to the library during lunch (they have to eat lunch first). I'm trying to strike a healthy balance between not having too many "rules" and having the kids get out of hand and too rowdy while here. I feel lately I've been baby-sitting a lot.

What are some of your guidelines for students in the library during lunch? What tips do you have for creating an atmosphere that's both welcoming AND conducive to working/studying/reading. I don't need it to be quiet, but I'd like to keep it fro being as loud and rowdy as the cafeteria can be.

Thanks,
