[ISLMA-Share] Author Visit Advice Needed!

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

We had him! He is great! A true performer, I believe he has theatre
experience too. The kids loved him!! Read the books to the students. I had
students create their own creepy carrots (K-1) and we created a "welcome"
bulletin board. Since this is your first author, may I suggest contacting
the local paper. They will often send a photographer and do a write up. The
students get excited to see it in print and it advocates your library to
the community as well.

Have fun! He is so easy to work with!
