[ISLMA-Share] Elem. book challenge (from the principal)

Zowie. That is really depressing. Obviously I support the book being in the
school library, but even if it loses that ground, to deny a kid's
independent reading choice that is advocated by a parent seems really off.
If there is a formal process in place for reconsideration, mom needs to
hold the school's feet to the fire and make them follow the entirety of the
process. (I am pretty sure a challenge policy doesn't usually say the
teacher and the principal will collude together to decide the outcome.)

Barring any formal process, newspapers love these stories...just saying.

Librarian, Harlem High School
I am currently reading *A World Without You* by Beth Revis
