Some years ago we had to move our h.s. library several times. Not sure what your physical situation is, but the bulk of our books were stored in the empty lockers. Mostly, one shelf per locker, and they remained in order (mostly!). That kept them safe and out of everyone's way. Human "chain" to put them back.

Subject: [ISLMA-Share] Book Storage while remodeling

Hi all,

I am lucky that my library is being remodeled this summer. I am looking for some suggestions of what to do to store the books while the space torn apart. I would prefer not to use boxes, but don't know how to go about finding book trucks. Has anyone in Central Illinois used a company that will rent book trucks for us to use for a few months?

Thanks,
