I’ve been doing it for years. I like that I can create a MARC record that allows me to compare connections. For example, I have 2 LCD projectors that have HDMI connections. Well, our Chromebooks can connect by HDMI. Hence, I needed to quickly know where these items are. It works nicely for us. Here’s an example of the MARC record of one of the mentioned projectors:

I also set the material type/circulation type for each category of AV equipment as private, so only my aide and I can see the expensive stuff in our inventory.

We do for this purpose. It will make your Titlewise Analysis look weird, but it does anyway. No issues really.

Greetings, wise ones!

Does anybody use Destiny Library Manager for tech equipment - laptops, iPads, etc.? Has it worked well for you? How has it affected you during inventory?

We had hoped to get Destiny Resource Manager for this purpose, but we can't afford it right now, so I'm trying to think of other options.

Thanks for ideas,
