[ISLMA-Share] K-5 iPads

Our K-2 students have 1:1 iPads & use them weekly to check their Destiny
accounts with the Follett Destiny app. After checkouts they sometimes
listen to e-books through Follettshelf too. They have also used them to
journal responses to the Monarch Award in Book Creator, used the QR code
reader i-Nigma to scan sites I've selected for them (PebbleGo, etc) or to
access readalouds older students recorded for them when we did our March
Book Madness. They used Pic Collage to show their favorite book so we could
Tweet it out to the authors (they AirDropped their pics to me, and I sent
them out from the library's Twitter account). Now they also use SeeSaw as a
digital portfolio that they can share with parents.--actually had them
share a PicCollage of their Book Fair wish list showing pictures of the
books they wanted with parents with SeeSaw.

Older students used the library iPad minis to record stop-motion videos
this year, and weekly to search our catalog (they serve as our OPACS during
all checkouts).

In my previous position, the library had a cart of iPads that I used in
lessons with the whole school, K-5, 1000+ students.  They wrote stories in
ScribblePress (although I think I like Book Creator better now), researched
databases with them, & drew responses to readalouds. Students just
remembered their iPad number & respected the work saved on them from other
students. We did have a couple issues of work being deleted, but not many.
They did have email and I had them email work to me when they
finished--pictures drawn, ScreenChomps recorded, etc.
