BreakoutEDU is an amazing way to bring games and team building into
education. Games can be designed for any size group on any subject for any
grade level. Players must solve a mystery or puzzle by solving clues that
lead them to the codes to unlock a series of locks that will gain them
access to the Breakout Box to claim their reward. The playing team has a
limited amount of time (usually 30-45 minutes) to solve the mystery. If
they run out of time, they fail. The postmortem or opportunity to assess
their play is invaluable. The beauty of these games is that it
gives players an opportunity to work as a team, to see their own individual
talents and challenges, and see their teammates in a different light, which
carries over into other aspects of school.

There are games available on the website that you can play. You can buy a
kit or assemble the pieces you need independently. You can design your own.
There are also web-based games on the site that do not require a kit. There
are games for every age level.

I loved playing the games at a conference I attended. If am definitely
using this as part of my curriculum this year. If you want more information
or contacts, please email me directly.
