We use iPod shuffles to Circ audible books. One book can be on up to three devices so we have three cards for each audible book we purchase. Kids bring up a shuffle bar code and the "card" with the photo of their book of choice. We drag and drop immediately into a shuffle and voila. Kids have an audio book. It's very user friendly. Kids love it. We love it. We have about 20 shuffles for a k-5 building of about 300 and they are checked out all. The. Time. Grades 3-5 Can check them out.

You can get a personal account and it is perfectly fine to give the students the username and password for that account and then they would have access to all those books. The downside to this, they will be logging into your account, which means they will have complete access to payment information, they could purchase items and change settings. There is no way to create an 'alias' log in. I was hoping there was a way around this because I LOVE audible. I've beedn purchasing audio books from follett and have not been impressed with Brytewave's delivery of the audio books. Hoping it will improve.

I have an account in my library’s name and it works pretty much like a personal account. I am lucky enough that I have a school credit card for the library so it works well.
