Hi Linda,

We hosted Kate in the Spring of 2015. The students and staff absolutely loved her. Being a former teacher she knew exactly how to approach all the different grade levels, K-5, and what were important things to explain about the writing and research process at each level. She also joined a lucky few writers for a lunch group. I would highly recommend her.

I was thinking of having my school do an all-school author study of Kate's books and inviting her to come to our school for an author visit this school year.  Has anyone hosted Kate and if so, would you provide input on what grades you would recommend her for and your impression of how successful the author was at engaging students?
