This year, as part of our junior and senior high reading contest, we're
going to offer a few activities that contest participants can attend
(during homeroom) as fun rewards/incentives. SO, I'm searching for some
neat (but not pricey!) ideas students would enjoy.
Two activities we plan to host so far are:
1. Decorating the library's metal book ends - encourages creativity and
gives students greater ownership in the library when their work is a
permanent part of the space.
2. Breaking into small groups that have to figure out the clues to get
inside a break out box (see breakoutedu.com). This encourages collaborative
and investigative thinking.
This is my first time posting a question on this list. I'll look on
Pinterest, too, but am hoping some of you creative librarians can offer
some novel ideas.
