Since I was RIFFED and no longer work I would LOVE to attend every meeting
to sing the praises of school librarians and their importance but I signed
up for only one.

I am showing my age here so for some of the younger librarians I remember
when schools did not have Special Ed. I have to applaud their work and
organizational skills to achieve their goals,
but they did not have only one supporter they had hundreds. So I encourage
every school librarian to attend these meetings. Numbers speaks volume when
it comes to changing ISBE minds.
If school librarians would petition and lobby half as much as the Special
Ed warriors did, we too could attain great things. Special Ed inspires me
because of all they have accomplished in
the past 20 years.
