[ISLMA-Share] Book Fair

I just got off the phone with Scholastic…

There is no change for schools who have “rolling carts” of books delivered to their schools.  The below information is for small schools that only get boxes of books for a “Table Top” fair.

The main concern I have is the way they are now handling the checkout procedures. They no longer provide the register/scanner. Schools now have to find their own change box (register to keep money) manually figure tax, change due, etc. with no receipts, of course.

The Barnes and Noble folks will make a special night for your school.  Families can attend.  Teachers can be guest readers.  Your school musicians can play in the background.  I think they give gift cards to the school in terms of profit.  The Deer Park B&N was trying to get me to sign up this past week.
