[ISLMA-Share] Coffee Bar in HS Libraries

Our high school book club runs our coffee shop. It is open before 8 am and
after 1 pm so as not to interfere with our state nutrition guidelines (I'm
in Arkansas, and there can't be any other food sources sold at the same
time as breakfast and lunch.) We have three Keurigs set up and we serve
coffee; vanilla, caramel, hazelnut and pumpkin cappucinnos; and both milk
and dark hot chocolate for $1.50. Whipped cream is an extra 50 cents. They
go through a TON of creamer and sugar....even though the cappucinnos and
hot chocolate already have it in there. That's probably our biggest loss
margin, so we are trying to get around it by using smaller cups that are
filled almost to the top, so they don't have room to add anything more!

We used our profits to take the book club on a road trip to Dallas for a YA
book festival where they got to spend the weekend meeting 60+ of their
favorite authors, attending workshops, getting their books autographed,
etc.

The student population is driving me crazy asking when we are going to
start it up again this year. We usually run it between the end of
September and Spring Break.

*Saying that we don't need librarians because we have Google is like saying
we don't need doctors because we have WebMD.*
