[ISLMA-Share] Stephen King books appropriate for junior high?

I think that they ask for Stephen King because they don't know any other
horror authors. Try bringing in some horror authors that are more
developmentally appropriate for that age group. If they've outgrown R.L.
Stine, try Mary Downing Hahn, Joseph Delaney (Last Apprentice series),
etc. The anthology Slasher Girls & Monster Boys has been popular at my
library, too. If you Google "middle school horror books" you'll find
several bloggers and companies with lists of suggestions for this age group.
