I put the student's bar codes on paint sticks and let them decorate them. They keep them the three years they are at my school. Makes everything very easy!

We use the paint sticks as place holders. I went to the local paint store and they gave me a box of 1000-maybe more!! For free!!!

I was always impressed with the system used at my child's Montessori school. They had a bucket of paint sticks. (Those sticks they give you at the hardware store when you buy a can of paint.) If the kid takes a book off the shelf, they slide a paint stick into its place, if they decide this is not the book for them, they can easily find where it came from.

These are the newest things I ordered. You can get a free one from the website to double check that the size works for your shelves.

I'm using these to post recommendations throughout the library as well as new books.

Hello,
Our library is a very busy place and at the end of the day, it looks like a tornado came through. Any suggestions on keeping the shelves neat and tiddy ?

Also, we have very limited to no shelf markers or signage. Any recommendations on good shelf markers and signage???
