Good Morning,
The final 2 ESSA listening tour meetings are tonight in Crystal Lake and Galesburg and tomorrow in Decatur. Let’s show the ISBE with these last 2 meetings that effective school library programs and licensed school librarians are the answer to so many problems in education!!
We once again ask you to volunteer your time to attend one of these meetings. We need you speak at the meeting AND/OR send your thoughts to essa at isbe.net<mailto:essa at isbe.net>. You can sign up for the listening tour at this link: http://bit.ly/2giYSc9 Signing up will allow the ESSA task force to email you the talking points and help you organize with other librarians attending the same meeting. We realize that the meeting locations are few and far between; if you are not able to attend a meeting, your voice is still important.
