[ISLMA-Share] Fwd: Shared a post - "A tough question that librarians get asked..."

If you were a patron in my library, I would direct you to "First Light" by
Rebecca Stead.  It's a novel, not a short story, but it has similar enough
features that it could  be the story you were thinking of.  If not it still
might be a story you would enjoy.
