Would any schools be interested in hosting author Marc Tyler Nobleman on
February 14? He is going to be in Milwaukee and we would like to bring him
out to visit out school. However, he is looking for a second school to
visit.

Author Marc Tyler Nobleman

"In 30 years of hosting best-selling authors at our school, Marc's
presentation was the best I have ever witnessed. Judging from the student
response, he transformed what it means to be a writer."
*—Karen Palko, middle school teacher, International School of Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia*

I'm the Maryland author of 70+ children's books

 including *Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman *(which
inspired both a Hulu documentary
<http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2016/10/07/new-york-comic-con-a-batman-creator-finally-gets-his-due>
and
a TED talk), *Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman* (which made the
front page of *USA Today*), and *Brave Like My Brother*. You don't want to miss
this chance to show your students (and staff) what the buzz is about...

*Dates*: February 13 and 14, 2017; if interested but those dates don't
work, I will gladly come back

*Rate*: $1,800/day for multiple talks, which can be split among multiple
schools, plus a portion of travel; when I book three consecutive days, I
waive travel costs

*Three key points:*

   - my Batman book changed history
   <http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/dc-entertainment-give-classic-batman-824572>
despite
   76 years' worth of odds; the documentary (out in 2017) is the first-ever
   film based on a nonfiction children's book
   - I have been invited to speak at schools in more than half the 50
   states and a dozen countries from Thailand to Tanzania
   <http://noblemania.blogspot.com/2014/01/tanzania-school-day-1-ufo-crash.html>

   - my talk is a real-life detective story with a moving social justice
   component

   part motivational, part educational, and all entertaining for any age

*Three more reactions:*

   - "Wow—incredible! An inspiration—absolutely gripping story everyone
   should hear." *—attendee, Charlotte S. Huck Children's Literature
   Festival, Redlands, CA*
   - "To say that your presentation was outstanding is almost an
   understatement. I've been the Head of Lower School for 30 years. All of the
   adults agreed that you are the best presenter we have ever had." *—Dana
   Hahn, Head of Lower School, Wheeler School, Providence, RI*
   - "You inspired them. In fact, one of my students who has been very
   difficult to reach came into the library for the FIRST time this school
   year—asking for one of your books. Thank you, Marc." *—Susan Grigsby,
   Georgia Library Media Specialist of the Year, Elkins Pointe Middle School,
   Roswell, GA*

Students, too, regularly humble me.

P.S. This hilarious side project I created went viral: 83 children's
authors (from Lemony Snicket to Dan Santat) read aloud bad reviews of their
own books
