[ISLMA-Share] Hosting Destiny

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

I think it has been well worth the expense to have Follett host our program.  I don’t have to worry about updating software nor down times.  Go for it!

As far as I’m concerned, it is all positive.  Now all updates are automatic.  I never have to worry about backing up my information or being out of date.  It is well worth the money if you ask me or my IT department.

My Technology Director just came to me and said he is thinking about changing from housing Destiny on our own school server to paying the fee to have Follett host/manage our Destiny program.  Anyone have any experiences with the hosted version?  Positives? Negatives?
