[ISLMA-Share] Remember a book about Davids?

Hello, we have a few Davids this year in second grade.  A teacher is recalling a chapter book possibly from 25 years ago in which a David becomes a little obsessed with other Davids looks in the phone book and sees not only Davids but David Bernsteins (possibly).  He invites them all over.  She remembers it being really funny.  
Can anyone help us remember the title and/or author?
