[ISLMA-Share] New Books

I create a Wish List at Amazon and then use the list to inform my purchasing. I delete the books from the list as I purchase them.

I take a picture of the cover of the book (or the write-up/review) and upload it into a "Books to Buy" folder on my computer. When I start an order, I simply go into this folder and add the books to the list. I delete photos as I go along.

I made a Google form that I put them into and it dumps the suggestions from students and reviews into a spreadsheet that I refer to when ordering.
Hope that helps!

If they aren't yet available to add to a running list, I hand write them on an index card and put them in a designated pile on my desk. Periodically, I run through the pile to see if any are "up" yet and then discard the index card once they've been added.

I also add them to an ongoing Follett List (i.e. Sept2016, March2017, etc) knowing I will edit when necessary. It is so much easier.

There is a electronic sticky not<https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sticky-notes/nbjdhgkkhefpifbifjiflpaajchdkhpg?hl=en>e (Chrome) that you can keep on your computer desktop. Sometimes I use a wire notebook. If possible, I try to add them directly to an order list (on Amazon, Follett, or Bound to Stay Bound) that I have named and dated (ie. Fall 2016 Budget), knowing I will heavily edit that list later. Then I know I won't lose it or forget about it, and I always have something ready to go in case I get some extra funds.

I am overwhelmed with sticky notes in catalogs, emails and information about new books being released… how do you keep track? I order from Follett so WHEN I have time, I add them to my wish list but then that gets overwhelming too… what are some tricks and tips to simplify this process?
