[ISLMA-Share] New Books

When students / staff give me suggestions, I place those in a folder on my desk I've labeled "order building" which I consult each time I place an order. It corrals all the sticky notes.

When I go through through review journals, books that I definitely want go into a list in Follett. I place all the other books which I really like but am not ready to buy yet in an Amazon wish list. At the beginning of 2nd semester, I look at how much $$ is left in my budget and let each of my student library aides select books from the Amazon wish list for me to order for the library. They love being able to do this, and I have them set up a special display with their choices.

I have a similar list that always far exceeds my budget. My problem is making sure I choose the best books for the best reasons from the ever growing list! Any helpful advice? I read every book I can, read reviews, blogs, everything I can and I still question my orders.
Bottom line is I need a bigger budget to meet our school's needs!
