I have this book in both my middle schools. I have a “T” for teen sticker on it, which designates it as a book recommended for 8th graders. These titles are shelved with the rest of the collection, and I do not restrict checkout. I have had several 8th graders read and enjoy it, but they have been strong, dedicated readers. I agree that the structure is sophisticated, so it is not a book that will work for everyone. Another example of one of my “T” books is Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman.

Anyone have this book in the middle schools? I had a student ask me to buy it for our junior high. I know it is on the Lincoln list, but I sometimes buy a few off that list each year for my more mature readers.
