[ISLMA-Share] handheld inventory scanner

Hello all~  We use Destiny in our 3 libraries.  I have been looking to upgrade our hand held inventory scanner- I think it's the Dolphin.  The price of new ones are a bit alarming, but I am willing to spend it if that is the best route to go.  I met with my tech guy today and he had another idea.  He said I could buy an ipod touch along with the Honeywell SL22 (it's a scanner that you slide the ipod into).  He said it will work better with our wifi....and a bunch more "tech" pros that I don't quite understand.  The ipod would be $199 and the scanner is $260, so it would really be a cost savings.  I could even afford to purchase 2 of these since I share our inventory scanner with 3 libraries, thus improving of efficiency.       Thoughts?
