Good morning,

We use TypingWeb.com. Our fourth grade teachers have typing time for
between 30 minutes and one hour each week. I loop with fifth and sixth
grade, and last year I had my fifth graders practice typing using TypingWeb
for 30 minutes each week at the beginning of the school year. By the end of
the year, we had pretty much stopping with typing practice and used our
scheduled lab time for other computer-based projects. This year, I haven't
had my students (sixth grade) do any typing practice. They have one-to-one
Chromebooks this year, so they are typing things all the time. With the
exception of one or two SPED kids, they are all proficient enough typists
to make composing writing on a computer efficient and no more difficult
than handwriting.
