We have the Destiny app and as long as you have the right iPad it's works fine. It's a bit slower, but less expensive than buying another scanner.

(It's not as easy to find books in the wrong spot or identify items that were missed on check in. Although that probably never happens to anyone else...)

The price of new ones are a bit alarming, but I am willing to spend it if that is the best route to go. I met with my tech guy today and he had another idea. He said I could buy an ipod touch along with the Honeywell SL22 (it's a scanner that you slide the ipod into). He said it will work better with our wifi....and a bunch more "tech" pros that I don't quite understand. The ipod would be $199 and the scanner is $260, so it would really be a cost savings. I could even afford to purchase 2 of these since I share our inventory scanner with 3 libraries, thus improving of efficiency. Thoughts?
