[ISLMA-Share] Possible position change advice needed

Rikki,

I too am in a small school like yours grades 6-8.  About 3 years ago we had
2 librarians and 3 aides.  1 at the middle school, and one that traveled
between our K-2 & 3-5 building.  After that librarian retired the
recommendation was made to have a librarian at each building and an aide
there as well.

Are you or will you be responsible to teach library classes at both
buildings?  Also, do you handle all of the ordering on your own right now
and will need to do that at the other building too?

My advice to you would be to think about what would be lacking in your
program by being in charge of the whole district.  If you come up with a
number of gaps, I think that will help drive your decision/reasoning to
your principal.

I hope some of these questions/thoughts help you.
