Our district went 1:1 this year.

K-2 - ipads
3-8 - chromebooks

I think it depends on the teacher how much they use it. It has been pretty
consistent in K-1 classrooms to use the ipads during their daily 5
rotation. I also live in the district where I teach, and my second grader
doesn't use the ipad as much as my kindergartner. I think this is based on
the individual teachers comfort with the technology. The K-2 building also
has a cart of chromebooks that can be used and the second graders do use
them at times which is nice since they will be transitioning to chromebooks
next year.

In our 6-8 building everyone is using google classroom for assignments. We
also are trying a trial version of Hapara a program where you can see
students chromebook screens on your computer and have the control to close
out tabs if they are on other websites or playing games if they are
supposed to be doing something for class. Hapara also offers a workspace
section that teachers have been pretty excited about and allows for more
differentiation of assignments than classroom.
