*ISLMA is excited to announce that there are several new awards which will
be presented at the November conference. Remember, fall award nominations
may be submitted anytime between May 1 and September 1. New awards include:*

*School Librarian of the Year *to recognize outstanding service and
leadership contributions to the organization, the school library
profession, or a school library in Illinois during the previous school
calendar year. Contact a board member to recommend a member for this award.
*First Page Award *to recognize a contribution of a member within the first
five years of membership for service to the organization and contribution
to librarianship in Illinois. Contact a board member to recommend a member
for this award.
*Pillar Award *to recognize an exhibits vendor for their continued support
of the organization, of school library or of school library professionals.
Contact a board member to recommend a vendor  for this award.
*ISLMA Administrator of the Year Award *The ISLMA Administrator of the Year
Award shall be initiated by a member of the Association. It is given to
recognize the meritorious support of a school library program by a building
or district level school administrator (a person whose position requires
the administrative license such as- but not limited to- a superintendent,
principal, or curriculum director) during the previous school year.
