Position Available: Position available July 16, 2016. This is a 100%-time, twelve-month appointment Academic Professional position.

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Head of the Undergraduate Library, the University Laboratory High School Librarian will provide leadership for and supervision of library services to students, faculty, and staff using the University Laboratory High School Library.  The University Laboratory High School Librarian is a member of the Central Public Services Division within the University Library.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications:  ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science (MLS) or State of Illinois Teacher License with an LIS Endorsement, or equivalent certification; Successful experience working with multiple age groups;  Public service experience in a library setting;  Experience managing programs and projects ; Experience using a research library; Facility with educational technology and knowledge of technology trends or educational technology leadership experience; Excellent communication and writing skills.
