[ISLMA-Share] Summer

I have a 9 1/2 month contract and am given a stipend for two weeks -- one
to open in the fall and one to close the library for the summer.

Of course that's not enough because I virtually work all summer -- four
days a week, all day. It's necessary time to weed the collection, organize,
move things around, catalog new books, etc. The good thing about my summer
work is there is no one in the library and I get a lot done.

Why do I do it? For the kids. I want the library to be the best place in
the school for them.

That being said, it's getting really old to keep doing this so my free days
are numbered.

Have a good summer, everyone!
