I am in the Quad Cities (probably 2+ hours from you). I just started my Makerspace this year. I am at two K-5 buildings and would be happy to share any info with you.

Subject: [ISLMA-Share] Maker Space K-8 building?
Hi everyone!
Our district would like to send the PreK-2, Grade 3-5, and Grade 6-8 Library Media Specialists to see a Maker Space in a school. (A total of 3 Librarians).
Do any of you have a Maker Space in your K-8 school that the three of us could come visit? Near to us in Lincolnwood is ideal, but not necessary. Lincolnwood is a small suburb - shares a border with Chicago on the northwest side, near Morton Grove, Skokie, Evanston, etc.
It would be especially helpful to see how a Maker Space works in a K-8 building.
If you love your Maker Space and it's NOT near us, please email me anyway:-) We mostly just hope to see one that you love!
Thank you very much.
