[ISLMA-Share] mobile maker space on a budget

I was inspired by Gwyneth Jones at the ISLMA conference to start a mobile maker space.  I have chosen lot of art, crafty and lego-like items, but what (inexpensive) more techie items would you recommend? My building is 2-5th grade and we will be using the mobile carts as a PBIS incentive for classrooms so it has to be items the teachers would feel comfortable using.  I have plans to expand with makeymakey later this year.
