I have a very talented 8th grade student who would truly like to try and get her book published.  I must say, I am impressed with both her story and illustrations.  She is seeking some help with the following:

-in which format should she submit her illustrations (is there a certain type of size, paper, etc)
-format for manuscript submission
-suggestions of publishing houses/imprints that might actually consider something from an unknown student
-any other helpful advice

I am very flattered that this student sought out my help.  This is totally unchartered territory for me, so any advice is appreciated.
