[ISLMA-Share] Library Sign in Procedures

Whoever said they use excel for this (see below), would you be willing to email me a copy of your spreadsheet so I can see what the formulas are?

We use excel.  It auto-populates the current time into a field when they login.  We use a lookup table and they scan their ID and the name populates into a different field.  We don't do "sign out," but I'm sure you could make that work with a bit of fancy formulas....

We love our method of scanning school-required student IDs into a Google spreadsheet. With some formulas on the back-end, you can even have the spreadsheet auto fill each student's name once they scan their ID. Sort range by name, and you have a very handy alpha list of students present in LMC each period.

I'm not sure I can share, as we have student names embedded in the sheet.

We are looking at updating our "old fashioned" library sign in procedures. Students currently drop their pass in a basket and sign in on a piece of paper during the school day. We are looking to update to some electronic. Does anyone have library software or a program that they use to check students into the library? It would record their name and time in and out. Thanks in advance for the responses.
