I would say junior/senior age students. Alice experiences the stereotypical
1960's phenomenon of drugs, sex, rape, teen pregnancy and OD'ing.
According to the ALA, it is one of the most banned books since it was first
published.

It may not go over very well with conservative types.  Have you thought
about taking a survey to get student/parent opinions on your lit
selection?  I would be curious as to what they would say.
