The volunteer student workers at Minooka HS are vital to the day to day
operations at the libraries. I have students fill out a Google Form
because then it is easier to sort by campus and hour. For first semester
we have very few freshmen because I have found out that they need to figure
out HS before volunteering. I also require a teacher recommendation. With
2700 students, I cannot know them all, and this makes it more like a
regular application. These are the questions on the form:

Name
ID Number
Gr. Level
Campus
Study Hall hour
Study Hall teacher
If sophomore will you be driving this semester? (I ask this bc students
drive out of study hall and it does not work if all the student workers one
hour are driving.)
Estimated GPA from previous semester
Explain any previous library work or general work experience (I tell them
this can be other volunteer experiences and/or work experiences like
babysitting.)
Why are you interested in working in the library?
Teacher recommendation. (Can be emailed to me. Not required if the student
has worked in the library previously.)

Feel free to email me off list if anyone has any further questions.
