[ISLMA-Share] Digitize Audiobook CDs

What you are proposing is a change in format, which violates copyright. You
own the CD format. You do not own a MP3 or other digital audio version.

Follett is giving you the correct answer.
Look into purchasing digital audiobook copies instead.
