[ISLMA-Share] Spine label makers

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

Since Destiny allows you to tell it which label to start on, I just send my regular labels through the printer again when I need to print a few. I don’t have a printer right at my desk, but there is a student printer in the library that I can commandeer for a little bit. If you don’t have your printer close by, it may not be convenient to do it this way. I thought about a label maker, but I already have so much stuff that seems to accumulate on my desk that I couldn’t bring myself to add one more thing!

Do any of you use a label maker for replacing spine labels?  I print out large amounts with new book order from my Destiny program and my printer, but what do you do if there is just one or two labels that you need to replace quickly?  I have held on to a typewriter to use for those quick replacements but it is in need of repair.  Instead of spending that money on it, I wondered about a label maker?
