[ISLMA-Share] Book Fairs during Parent Teacher Conferences

I'm a BFair volunteer and we do a Teacher Preview the day after we set up. It really gets the teachers excited. They fill up their own basket with items they would like for their classroom. They share their excitement with the kids and then the kids share it with parents. If the teacher shows up at the Teacher Preview their name goes in a raffle for a $25 Scholastic gift certificate. 

Our kids and parents love helping fill their classroom library and it draws people to our fair. It is definitely more enticing than the standard Come to Our Fair letter that we attach to the flyer we send home with students.

We also do quick blurbs on our morning announcements to share some fun books we have at the fair. That also gets the kids excited.

We started that last year.  I put a sign on the door of each classroom that said, "Don't forget to stop by the book fair"
