[ISLMA-Share] Outside the Box.

I once worked at a school that had "Interim." It was a weeklong study of an
event or an era. Groups were responsible for research and presentation of a
smaller topic within the larger topic. For example: the 60s. That was a lot
of fun, and the students and teachers all enjoyed the week; plus the final
project was a graded event by a committee of teachers. It was very uniting
because the teachers were so involved. Some of the older teachers dressed
as dead-headers, etc. Of course, the kids were shocked that people with
their PhD ever listened to music at all.
I hope you can get your teachers on board. It is a very progressive form of
education, so you need a 100% enthusiastic faculty.
