Thank you Jacob and others. It does take a village, and we have an amazing village.

We still need someone to speak in Quincy tonight. This is the only stop on the listening tour that doesn't have anyone attending. If you can attend today, or if you know of someone who can attend, please let me know. (president at islma.org) I can send the talking points to you/them. The meeting is at 4:30pm at Baldwin Intermediate School (3000 Maine St.) in Quincy.

Thank you!

Subject: [ISLMA-Share] Effingham ESSA listening tour

Last night I attended the ISBE listening tour for the organization. We had four attendees speak in favor of libraries. Sarah Hill, President of YALSA spoke, an employee of North Clay Schools, and a retired Administrator. After the meeting several people came up to me to share how impressed they were with our showing. One told me she had heard that the librarians had "organized" in Bloomington, but didn't know what that meant. She said that now she understands what that means, and she didn't know that we had it in us.

Attached you will find my remarks from last night.

Keep up the good work friends- together we will reach the goal,
jpr
