I am always blown away by the resources offered by this listserve. Thank you!

The weebly site is wonderful. I have book marked it. Thanks Valerie!

The idea of Comfort Dogs is a great one—Thanks Gretchen! This is the site for the K9 Comfort Ministry: http://www.lutheranchurchcharities.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=25&layout=blog&Itemid=95 (I believe they offer their services for free, but there is a donation button.)

And a tree is a marvelous memorial. A living tribute that reminds people of the ones lost. Thanks, Leslie.

I am so sorry for everyone dealing with the loss of a student. It’s a rough road.

Kathy

Subject: [ISLMA-Share] Books dealing with student death

Hello.

This weekend, two of our students in the high school where I work passed away in a motorcycle accident. I was wondering if any librarians had suggestions about reading material for teenagers, both fiction and nonfiction, that could help during this very difficult time. If this has happened before at anybody else's school, was there a resource that you found to be helpful or that students appreciated?

Thank you,
Amy Edrington
