One Piece (see note on Fairy Tale, same deal)
Fairy Tale is really fun, but a number of the female characters wear revealing clothing (just as a note if you’re in a conservative district.
Beauty Pop is really excellent with one of the best female protagonists of all time
Dragonball or Dragonball Z is popular, although Goku has a tendency towards naked baths.
Kamisama Kiss is really sweet
Azumanga Daioh is good and only 4 volumes. It reads more like a comic strip
Yotsuba is cute
Tsubasa and XXXholic are interesting because they’re the same story from two perspectives
Bakuman is made by the same team that made Deathnote

Jacob,
What kind of GN do you have that are not moving?
I find that my DC & Marvel titles move all the time and there are many titles that I can't have because I am at the middle school that they are always asking for.
Just curious.

It's not on the list, but I have had several students ask for Fairy Tale by Hiro Mashima, but I can't find any reviews on Titlewave about it. Does anyone have it?

Is Death Note appropriate for Jr. High students as well? We've got both Jr. and Sr. High in our building using the same library.
