Hi Amy,

A couple of years ago, we stopped charging fines for late books,
however, we don't let students with overdue books check out ore books.
Students do still pay for lost books. We have found that we have about the
same amount of students that return books late, and our frequent fliers are
still our frequent fliers.

We actually stopped with fines because our district office doesn't let
us handle any money at all. Sending kids to the office for every fine was
obnoxious.
