[ISLMA-Share] Anime Clubs

We have a huge Anime and Manga club. The moderator/teacher for it changes nearly every year since most of the adults here have no knowledge of Manga or Anime. But the kids are passionate. I was able to get a grant a few years ago to build a decent Manga collection for them (and for the rest of the school). I have been involved on the sidelines, promoting events or opportunities when they come across my email or Twitter. Our kids seem to be most happy just gathering together to talk about, draw, and watch Anime as well as fangirl/boy over their favorite characters and artists.  Most of them attend a Chicago based comic-con like event in May every year.

Does anyone have any anime clubs in their schools?  Our HS principal was approached by a couple of our students to start one.  She was going to refer them to the art teacher, but then after reading some of the articles, and references to Manga, she wondered if I could be involved.  We don't have Manga in our library--a few graphic novels, but nothing that you would consider Manga.  Any help would be appreciated!
