[ISLMA-Share] Thoughts on Gary Paulsen's Nightjohn

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

I am wondering in which area of your library do you keep the above book? It
is a 3.8 AR level book but the subject matter is very graphic and
disturbing. Although, I am certain it is the way slaves were treated back
then, I find it a little too much, for perhaps a younger middle school
student. I'd welcome thoughts on where to place it in our library.
