[ISLMA-Share] Illinois Certification Test

I'm glad to hear they are working on an update.
I felt it was a ridiculous test. Mostly common sense but some just silly questions.
My favorite (cough, cough - sarcasm font needed) question was:
What should be the period of checkout in an elementary for an encyclopedia?
None of the answers made sense but apparently there WAS a right answer. Emphasis on WAS.
I was looking for the one that said - who the bleep cares? I took that test here back in 2000 and even then that question made little sense.
I hope as they rework it, they really consider theory versus very specific things like this that vary so widely from school to school. Where I was, I could have loaned out volumes. Some schools didn't even have any.
Hope you can get back to school.

2 classes that fall which completed my certification.

Can you take it without completing the degree program? I took 4 classes in the degree program and then had to stop, but I was wondering if I could take the test without the degree?

Good Afternoon,

Does anyone have any recommendations for study guides or any helpful hints regarding the state Library Media Specialist Test?

THANKS!
