Our little community Library has a reading log program. We announce all of
our readers at our local festival (it's in early fall) and we give each of
our readers a $2.00 bill. We have about 4- readers each year.

At our grade school, we have a reading log program also. Each child that
returns their form at the beginning of school receives a treat (ice cream,
popsicles, etc.) on a given day at school.

Neither one involves any reporting, testing, etc. just a parent signature
for verification They have worked well for several years here.
